Willimantic Linen Co. Library Opens

Description

The Dunham Hall Library opens. Located at the top floor of the company store, the space contains a well stocked library of over 600 volumes, and reading rooms. The Library hosts various cultural and social programs such as educational lectures, drawing classes, and lectures on labor reform. Dunham Hall expands greatly in 1879, 1889, and 1920. At its height, it includes over 7,000 works.
