Barrows Finishes the "Oaks" Estate

Description

Taking inspiration from urban planners such as Frederick Law Olmstead, Barrows starts work on his "Oaks" suburb in 1879, which was ready for residents in April, 1881. He plans it to have single family houses in four different styles with large gardens in order to make the development beautiful and varied.
