The Hotel's Transformation

Although the Hotel Hooker underwent a considerable transformation from its establishment at the turn of the 20th century as a prominent piece of architecture into a now withering structure, it is important to trace the lines of this specific shift— after all, as with all stories, in order to continually make sense of the past, we must immerse ourselves in what it means and what it poses for us in the future. In the same way, we must repeatedly interact with this history in order to fully understand its significance to constructing the Willimantic we have come to know and interact with.
