Artists

Artists were often sought out by the Willimantic community in 1910. There were three advertised artists in the 1909-1910 Willimantic, Windham, and Coventry directory. One William K. Bath either worked or lived at 185 High Street. Then there was C. DeWitt Lockman, whose address was not listed but was from the town of Windham. Most notably, the well-known Impressionist artist J. Alden Weir, who lived on a farm in Windham Center, was also listed.
