This school was located in the western part of town (for 1910), and was located between the Normal School and the Model School.

Location

Windham Street corner of Valley Street

Building

The history of this 2.5 story building is confusing, and could use further research. As the 1908 Sanborn map illustrates, confirmed by references in the city directory, this was a grade (grammar) school, and was not the Model School located just to the south. A 1907 Board of Selectmen report (those reponsible for the town of Windham rather than the city of Willimantic) reported the Windham Street School's real and personal property value at $23,311.
