Teaching Staff

Based on the 1910 Willimantic Census data, only 3 out of 11 teachers were listed as living in town. All of these were listed as white and between the ages of 20-30. The majority of the female teachers were teaching subjects such as English and Latin/Greek. The majority of the male teachers were teaching subjects like History and Science. Georgia Robinson taught the Commercial subject, which by 1900 largely involved training women to work as secretaries and clerks. This list is supplemented with information from the 1910 Census.
